Lidocaine HCl 4% Cream

Active Ingredient

Lidocaine HCl 4% — Topical analgesic

Uses

For the temporary relief of pain and itching associated with minor burns, sunburn, minor cuts, scrapes, insect bites, minor skin irritations, and rashes due to poison ivy, poison oak, or poison sumac.

Warnings

For external use only

• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Do not use in large quantities, particularly over raw surfaces or blistered areas.

Stop use and ask a doctor if condition worsens, or if symptoms persist for more than 7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days. Discontinue use of this product and consult a doctor.

If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.

Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center (1-800-222-1222) right away.

Directions

• Adults and children 2 years of age and older: Apply to affected area not more than 3 to 4 times daily.
• Children under 2 years of age: Do not use; consult a doctor.

Other Information

Store at room temperature 68° to 77°F (20° to 25°C); excursions permitted to 58°F to 86°F (15° to 30°C).
